Madi Moo is Turning Two!!!!

It absolutely blows my mind that our baby is two years old! Really, where does the time go?
And let me tell you this is one independent, stubborn, passionate, adorable little girl.
God help us when she turns 13!!!

Sunday we had a party for Madi...it was a farm birthday theme. I found some adorable stuff for a second birthday at Birthday Express. I was very happy with them...I did however order noise makers......note to self.....I will never get them again!!!!
I also ordered a cake from Marketplace.....I was so happy when I picked it up. The cake was adorable!! And Madi loved it. If you ask her about it she will tell you it had a pig in the mud on it! She is right, that was one of the animals.
Madi was so excited about the day and very happy to have her family and friends there to celebrate and if you ask her how old she is she will tell you 4!

How can this face ever be anything but adorable........

Well if you know Madi, you know she is not always this way!
This is one of my favorite pictures of her though!!! You can tell she is just loving the day.

Bennet is into the birthday festivities too. He is a cheeseball and
no doubt will be super excited on his birthday as well March 27th.

Our cake....see it does have a pig in the mud!

Cheese!!!! After this picture she stuck her finger in the cake!

This is good frosting!!!!
At least this year she did not cry when the cake came out and the candles were lit like last year. She really enjoyed it!

Family picture!

Doesn't this look like a group that is looking for trouble?

I am not sure if she likes what Grandma is telling her here or not?

Finally present time!
Madi had gotten many card leading up to the big day, and she was lucky enough to get a gift of money in all them as well....so every time she opened a card with her gifts she thought they should have money too. Yes she is a tad greedy!

Just like at Christmas all she wanted is candy for her birthday. Well
Grandma Ruthie came through for her. This is one of four bags of candy.
Check out Mom's really excited face!

So these are the shoe she got from Nene. When Rene asked me what she needed I told her shoes...well Rene said that was not a fun gift.....

Just look a Madi's face though.....She loved them!!!!!

Beads from Great Grandma G were a hit too!

and Madi also got a bike....now her and her sister will have to learn how to ride this summer.

At the end of the day Madi curled up with Papa to read one of her new books. We thought this may be the end of her...but of course not. She was only down for moment!

Happy 2nd Birthday my Madi Moo!!

Can we go Swimming????

That is the question we now hear every night.....and I mean every night!!!

We now have a family membership at the Holiday Inn Express. This means the boys in the house and go up and workout and then the girls get to come up later and go swimming. Mom can workout at that time if she wishes. Mom really wishes someone would workout for her!!! The kids love it. Both girls are pretty fearless in the water. That is why they both get to fashion some floating devises. I am glad they are not afraid.

On the other hand Dad is dropping the pounds...good for him, because Mom has found them! (& there will be no pictures posted here of her at the pool!!!)

Little Miss Sunshine!

She just thinks she is adorable! And at this moment I do agree, but most of the time she is just a little stinker, who does make me laugh, but sometimes I just want to take her back to the place she came from. I know, I should cherish everything about them, the grow up so fast.....but the only people who tell me that are those of you who do not have a 2 year old at home!!!

Our Valentines!

So who puts Valentines Day and the Daytona 500 together!!!!
February 14th is Allie's birthday so we enjoyed Saturday night at Rene and Rosco's to celebrate Al turning 15. Rene made an awesome cheesecake!!! And we have decided that that is going to the birthday cake of choice from now on!!!! I can't believe that is Miss Allie is 15.....look out roads, she will be driving next!
Sunday after church the kids opened their Valentines and then we headed off to Dion and Denise's for a Daytona 500 party!!!! I did not realize that it was going to be the longest race in the history of racing.....come on, it was not even raining!!!! About 6 pm I was thinking we may have to spend the night!!! (God knows we had enough food there!) The kids had a great time playing! Their daughter Danielle is right in between our girls so that got along fabulously.

I love to make them match......I know they will be in therapy later on because of me....
but I don't care! They are too cute!

Big brother love!

Driver, Move that House!!!

Okay, I have very mixed feelings about this one!!! I am sad that Grandpa and Grandma's house will not be there anymore, but I am glad that it is going to be used by someone else.....I would probably be more sad if it was torn down. I just have lots of fun memories in this house. Dan and I used to spend at lot of time there when we were growing up. I remember exploring the upstairs (that hallway seemed like it went on forever), doing laundry with Grandma in the old ringer washer, playing grocery store in the kitchen (cause she always had bags of food), Grandpa at the table eating his afternoon snack before milking, repetitively being picked on by mean old uncles (my Mom would always say they do it because they like you....huh), Grandma always had ice cream sandwiches from the Schwan's man, and the old wood stove with the water always boiling on top....It is an awesome old house that I remember as being much, much bigger years ago! I hope Liana and her girls will have many happy memories there too.

Here the house is up and ready to go. Today Mom called and said it was in route to its new home. I think that would have been awesome sight to see. I hope all goes well!!

Madi Moo!

Madi will be turning two shortly, so we decided to carry her love for baby cows over as her birthday theme too. She put on her adorable Halloween cow costume again and
Mom snapped a few pictures for her birthday invites.

She is an absolute ham in front of the camera when she wants to be!!!

Her invites turned out great and she is pretty excited about having a birthday party.....she is however talking about having a Dora birthday instead.....too late honey!
