Happy Birthday Dori!

Today we headed into St Paul to the Raptor Center on the U of M campus for Dori's Birthday Party. What great place to go and learn about the birds and actually see the up close. Every time we see an Eagle or Hawk...Madi reminds us that we saw one of those at the Raptor Center!! That girl does not seem to forget!!!

The party goers...minus Madi because she wanted nothing to do with a picture!

Our birthday girl and lovely volunteer!!!

What a great experience. Mark and I had fun too!

Turtle Lake

Like I said before to round up our Mother;s Day adventures we headed over to Ruth and TJ's on Turtle Lake for an amazing meal. They have such a nice set up and the kids love it over there!

Grandma Ruthie with her grand kids! (and plant)
Allie 15-Bennet 2-Madi 2- Bret 14-Kacy 4
We are just missing Justin!

Kacy and Dad going for a ride.

Madi down by the lake.....
Do you think she is saying Cheeeeeese!!!!!!

Kacy by the water.

How many will this one hold????
Bennet was very upset when Madi went for ride with Rosco.....so he got on too.

I love this picture of Bennet!

This picture includes only the younger cousins because the older two think they need to sit in the house and watch TV while they are there.

They only look cute......these two could be the devil in disguise at any given moment!!!

Mini Golfing on Mother's Day

Here are some random pictures from our golfing expedition. Madi thinks it is a great idea but looses focus pretty quickly. Kacy loves to go too, but also looses focus pretty quickly and that sends Dad over the edge. He loves to have to tell her over and over again how to hold the club.....
She is 4, she really does not care if it is correct or not!

Ride, Sister Ride!

Kacy got her new bike for her fourth birthday in October so she really had to wait until this spring to ride it....well she is finally out & about and really getting the hang of it. Maybe next year we can take the training wheels off!!!

I do not usually encourage riding with a dress, however it was right after church....
and look how well it matches her bike!!!!

She is pretty proud....and we have not had too many diggers!!

Happy Mother's Day to Me!!!

Oh another Mom's Day for me....I try not to expect anything so then I will not be disappointed.
This year Kacy said she wanted to throw me a party, but Dad said no!!! That man truly has no clue in the world!!
I truly am happy with him just reminding my kids to tell me Happy Mother's Day before the clerk in the store does it first! Just little thing that make me feel special today!

Look there is actually a picture of me and my kids on this day!
(It really is a national holiday!)

Kacy

Bret

Madi

And all three!!!
We first went to church, we were the greeters that day. Came home and then headed over to the Drive Inn in Taylors Falls for lunch and a round of mini golf. It was then off to Turtle Lake to have supper with Ruth and Rene for Mom's Day. the weather was great and we all had fun.

Bret's Confirmation

As an 8th grader moving on to high school next year(god willing.) Bret had his first rite of passage this Sunday....Confirmation! No more Wednesday night catechism classes, no more sermon notes (though he only had to do them one year,) and no more verse memorization.
Our church does not have too many people his age, currently the the kids are a great deal younger so he was one of two confirmats.

Ryan, Bret and Pastor Devrise

The weather Sunday turned out great which was a blessing in itself, because our house is none too big. We served brunch after the service so our guests were able to sit outside and enjoy the food and the sun.

Do you think he is smiling because this the end...or just the beginning!

Bret with his Godparents Becky and Todd.

Bret and my parents who made the trip up to SCF.

Nana, Papa and the whole brood.
Way to go Bret, now just remember what you learned and take it with you always!!!
