Eric and Ashley's Wedding

Yes, I realize it is October and I am still blogging about August.....
lets just say I am really behind!!
This weekend was my cousin Eric's wedding in Ellsworth. He married a fabulous lady named Ashley...my girls adore her! She was a gorgeous bride! (Oh yeah...Eric looked good too!)
Kacy and Madi were asked to be flower girls for them. We have been talking for months about the wedding, walking down the aisle, wearing there beautiful dresses, and having their hair done in order to prepare them for this day.....
And the rest of you were taking bets if they would go down the aisle or not!
The gorgeous bride and her groom!

I love this picture of Kacy....She really was thrilled to be part of the day!

This is a favorite picture of Madi too.

Our Family...get used to this picture, it will most likely be our Christmas card too.

My neighbor did their hair. I just love it!

You get what you get....at least she is in the picture!

Yes my Madi is in her diaper in the catholic church before the ceremony. Her dress had fallen a part and we were making some repairs at this time. Only she could have gotten away with this!

Will they or won't they....
They kind of did. Eric had a pack of gum for each of them at the altar. Madi loves gum right now so we thought that may do the trick. Mark also said he would give them money if they walked down the aisle. "Paper Money!" Well I told them to grab their flower and hold hands it was time...they did this! They then started down. That is when Madi turned around, looked at me and said "Mom!" Needless to say I had to walk down the aisle as well, but I tried to stay out of the way. When they got close Eric came down, showed them the gum, Madi ran up and got it and then high tailed it over by her Dad. I really think Kacy would have done it all on her own.
In their defense, it was the longest aisle I have ever seen! So that did not help. In most churches by the time they had realized I was not with them they would have been in the front!

These are my dainty flower girls!!
(Wrestling in the grass in their white dresses....Nice!)

Already well trained...nice job Ashley!

Kacy and Madi finally cut loose at the reception. They had a great time dancing all night with Nicole and Valerie. These girls were gracious enough to put up with them all night!

Not quite the same face you saw going down the aisle!

What a great time. The weather was wonderful, the day was perfect. It is so nice to have a wedding to bring a family together! What Soley is getting married next year????
